Sezonski Rad

A two-sided job marketplace for seasonal hospitality on the Adriatic coast.

Sezonski Rad

Sezonski Rad connects hospitality and tourism workers with the hotels, restaurants, and beach bars that hire them each summer along the Adriatic coast. The challenge was building a marketplace that felt instant and effortless for workers applying from their phones, while giving employers a fast, structured way to find, vet, and contact qualified candidates inside a hiring window that lasts only a few weeks.

The platform was built from the ground up on a custom, fully owned architecture, engineered to stay lean and inexpensive to run, while giving the freedom to design every feature, flow, and automation around how seasonal hiring actually works.

Making seasonal hiring effortless.

Seasonal hiring on the coast has always been chaotic: scattered across Facebook groups, word of mouth, and paper notices, with employers and workers scrambling to connect before the season starts. Sezonski Rad needed to pull that entire process into one place, a single platform where workers build a profile once and apply in a tap, and employers reach a ready pool of candidates without the noise.

At the same time, the product had to serve two completely different audiences through one coherent experience (job seekers who value speed and simplicity, and businesses that need structure, candidate management, and a way to monetize access) without either side feeling like the platform was built for someone else.

Effortless for workers. Powerful for employers.

The worker side was designed to feel like a consumer app: one-tap applications, saved jobs, a clean profile, and daily email alerts when new roles match what someone is looking for. The goal was zero friction, so a worker can go from landing on the site to applying in under a minute.

The employer side was built like a real recruitment tool: a searchable candidate database with filtering by role and experience, a credit-based system to unlock contact details, paid job packages, and a full dashboard to track applicants. Behind it sits a managed "do-it-for-you" admin layer that lets the team post jobs and source candidates on a client's behalf.

The result is a platform that feels light and immediate for everyday users, while running the structured, transactional machinery of a genuine marketplace underneath.

Product Architecture

Mapped the full journey for three distinct user types (workers, employers, and admins), translating the messy reality of seasonal hiring into clear, guided flows and a data model built to scale across hundreds of listings.

UX & Interface Design

Designed a mobile-first, Serbian-language interface that stays simple for first-time users while signalling the trust and professionalism employers expect: clean cards, a calm palette, and zero clutter.

Engineering & Backend Systems

Built on Next.js and Supabase with secure authentication, automated payment processing, a credit-based monetization engine, and scheduled email notifications that keep the platform running without manual work.

Optimization & Launch

Tuned performance, refined responsive behavior across devices, and tested both the worker and employer flows end to end, then launched on a custom domain, taking the platform live with real users from day one.

A platform built for the pace of a season.

The finished product gives seasonal businesses a fast, reliable way to staff up before summer, and gives workers a single, trustworthy place to find legitimate roles across the coast, replacing a fragmented, informal process with one guided experience.

Running on a lean, fully owned modern stack, the platform is inexpensive to operate, ships new features on demand, and is live today serving hundreds of real workers and employers through a full hiring season.
